New Home Design in San Diego, CA
CLIENT’S NEEDS:
Our client originally wanted to renovate their current home to include a very large primary room and seating area. By the time we found the solution for their home, it made more sense for them to purchase a new home. About a year later, our client called us to help them build and furnish their new home.
They were having trouble finding the right mix of materials, furniture, and accents that spoke to their heritage while staying within their building allowance.
PROJECT SCOPE:
Work with the builder and client to create multiple spaces that encourage entertaining while speaking to our client’s heritage and budget.

- Keep materials that clients already selected while adding in a few new ones to stay within their allowance
- Create a lounge area with a bar to provide an entertaining area
- Add stone to the fireplace to make a statement and add height to the lounge area
- Incorporate oranges, blacks, and browns along with accessories that speak to the clients’ African heritage
- Create a kitchen that is more cohesive to the newly designed spaces
