After living in their home for over 20 years, our client had been pushing upgrades to their home to the side due to their busy lifestyle. After bringing home almost 1,000 different flooring and material options from Home Depot and not being able to make a decision they were happy about, their realtor referred NKDG to them. After a couple of meetings, this couple decided they needed more than a consultant, they needed someone to take over the entire project.
Their current bathroom did not evoke a sense of relaxation. The place this couple was supposed to start and end their day on a high note left them feeling uninspired and cramped.
Walking in the door, you are greeted by a large curved staircase that had so much potential, but needed to be given a chance. Covered in a green carpet and outlined with light brown wood, this is not the first impression our clients wanted to leave on their guests.
Since our client struggled with decision fatigue, we started by getting to the root of what they envisioned in their home to begin with by choosing the right colors, flooring, and paint to keep the whole house cohesive. The next step was creating a feeling of relaxation throughout the home through bright finishes, light details, and refinishing some pieces they already had. The last solution was creating a grand entrance by giving the staircase the spotlight it deserved through paint, stain, and new flooring.
